Generosity frees the soul. Freed souls are generous.
It’s a divine chicken and egg conundrum.
My grandma oozed generosity. She was a giver. Always willing to share what little she had. (Little being an accurate descriptor.)
Generosity flows not from the amount of your possessions. It grows from how secure you believe your life to be.
Most of us will never possess a Bezos amount of wealth. But all of us already possess a Jesus abundance of security.
Jesus gives us a full life. He will never leave nor forsake us now. He will never leave nor forsake us ever. Our eternity is secure. Thanks to Him.
Generosity is more than generously giving money. But it definitely includes generously giving money.
Money still resides at the heart of our hearts.
“We have different gifts according to the grace given to each of us…If it (your gift) is giving, then give generously.” (Romans 12.7,8)
Be generous today. With your words. With your touch. With your money.
