This week consisted of getting together with ministry leaders locally and virtually. Austin breakfast at Panera and lunch at The Grove. Zoom with Gospel point people from Michigan and Arizona and D.C.
Some abhor meetings. Others love them. I rarely regret them.
They provide a time for relationship building. Fill my soul’s well that longs for life outside of my body.
Checking in on how Easter went. Wondering if you’re over COVID yet. Tell me more about that upcoming wedding.
The task side of me also enjoys getting stuff done. Productive. Making decisions.
Somehow someway moving the Jesus ball down the field.
Our staff evaluates every meeting. 1 to 7, 7 being supernaturally great. Below 5 isn’t good.
Balancing relational and productive tends to create great meetings. Inviting buy-in. Group contribution to the agenda. Ensuring everyone knows their takeaways and ongoing prayer needs.
Filling both soul and head that feeds into feet and hands. Moves the body and the org forward.
Consider how you’re balancing the two in your meetings today. Jesus designed you both to be and to do. Receive and contribute. Rest and act.
Spend time on both sides of the coin. The result? You’ll be spiritually healthier and happier.
