When it comes to snack foods there are better homes to live in.
Rarely do we purchase ice cream. No sugary sodas in the extra fridge. I can’t find a good cookie in the pantry when I need one late at night.
(Although there was a bag of Christmas ones in the freezer I finally finished off in March. I was patient.)
However.
If you crave a corn chip of the Tostitos genre we are your answer to prayer. While others hoard paper of the essential variety, if things go south, we’ll have our Tostitos to see us through.
Especially the ones with lime dusting. Oh my
Crazy how small routine comforts fill in the cracks of our anxiety. Snacks for stomach or for soul? Often both I suspect. Comfort food on multiple levels.
COVID wants to feed me fear. I would do well to vary the diet. A plate of Jesus’ promises perhaps.
Something along the lines of “…all things working together for good…”.
Perhaps a taste of “My peace I give to you. I do not give to you as the world gives.”
A late night scoop of hearing again that as a child of my Creator Father nothing can snatch me out of His hand.
Those all make my Tostitos even better.
