My Sunday Facebook feed was full of livestream worship. Pastors and leaders seeking to stay connected with their congregations and communities, bringing Jesus in Word and Sacrament in creative, nimble ways.
The Church on mission is always nimble, divinely dancing in grace-filled steps.
Acts 6-8 offers a front row seat to entrusting the people of God with the work of God. From serving widows to preaching Jesus to baptizing spiritually curious leaders, the early Church responded in love, in the moment, relying on the power of the Word rather than the position of man.
If the Church should ever be on mission, the Church in the US would be first in line. Especially in this season of isolation and fear.
Lead with grace and hospitality. Create open doors for your neighbors to experience Jesus. They don’t need more isolation, especially of the divine kind.
