Joy
is fleeting
unless it’s based
in irrefutable divine
certainty backed up by
eyewitnesses from all walks
of life so convinced of a historical
happening that turned death on its head
that surprised authorities and common folk
expecting a dead smelly body needing more oils
and perfume but finding a risen rabbi named Jesus
one Easter morning long ago that resonates still
causing millions upon millions of authorities
and common folk to overcome suffering
threatening to overwhelm and bury
them in some dark tomb behind
a giant rock unable to breathe
and instead celebrate and
believe and hope and
live forever
in
Jesus!
He is risen! He is risen, indeed!
So, too, will you!
