To teach is to form the future.
Every morning I wake up next to such a person. She creates the future via math tutoring online. Algebra, calculus, statistics. Knowledge and hope transplanted via Zoom.
(Believe me; you could use some hope when facing a statistics test you’re not prepared for.)
My teacher majors in more than facts and figures and definitions. Hers is an art multi-faceted.
- Of learning small details as well as large concepts.
- Of revealing wisdom through life and experience.
- Of character sandpapering edges prone to later snag you.
She equips others to unearth God’s gifts of knowledge and pack them in lunchboxes for future snacks.
“We have different gifts according to the grace given to each of us…If it (your gift) is teaching, then teach.” (Romans 12.7)
When teachers use their grace-given-gift they reveal God’s goodness to the world.
Thank God for teachers. The world needs more goodness.
